How do I Visualize a SAS® program?

There are two approaches to visualize a SAS® program.

Approach 1  From the Editor:

  1. From the Editor, open or select (if it is already open) the source file of a program you want to Visualize, make sure it is displayed on the active tab,
  2. Click on the Visualizer icon 24visualizer.gif (289 bytes) on the Navigation Panel to the left of your screen.   The Visualizer will analyze and display the program that is on the active tab of the Editor window.

Approach 2 From the Document Manager:

  1. From the Document Manager, select the source file of a program you want to Visualize,
  2. Click on the Visualizer icon 24visualizer.gif (289 bytes) on the Navigation Panel to the left of your screen.   The Visualizer will analyze and display the source file of the selected program.

The Visualizer defaults to show the Program Flow of yur source file. 

Click on the:

Data Flow icon data_flow.gif (232 bytes) on the tool bar of the Visualizer screen to view the Data Flow.
 
Program Flow icon program_flow.gif (233 bytes) to view the Program Flow.
 
Split View icon split.gif (382 bytes) to split the Visualizer screen to show the Editor screen in the lower half of the screen.
