Overview

By default the Template Manager browser displays the repository of SAS® language syntax templates supplied with ASAP.  You can browse these templates by navigating the standard directories just as you would in Document Manager.  Double-clicking directories opens them.  Single-clicking on the templates displays them in the text window on the right side of the browser.

Template Manager allows you to insert these templates directly into your code.   When you have located a template you wish to use, you may copy it to the Windows Clipboard for later use by clicking the copy icon copy.gif (290 bytes) on the browser’s tool bar.  If you wish to apply the template immediately, click the paste icon paste.gif (421 bytes) on the tool bar.  This inserts the template directly into the code on the active tab of the Editor.  The template will be pasted into the file wherever your cursor is located.

To get to this screen (Template Manager), from the Editor, click on the Template icon template.gif (388 bytes) on the Editor's Toolbar or from the right-click menu in the Editor.
