Overview

The Editor treats your SASŽ program as more than simply text. In addition, it provides language aware syntax highlighting capabilities, with the click of a button you can display a tree view of the source code you are editing as shown below. Because the Editor understands SASŽ syntax, it breaks your code down into functional blocks and displays these in a split-screen panel to the left of the text window. To invoke this view, click on the Tree View icon on your tool bar.

Tree View makes each segment of your code into an active element. You can click on an element in Tree view and the Editor shifts its display to the code segment you clicked. The cursor jumps to the beginning of the procedure you selected. This is especially useful when examining large programs.
